A formational process that lasts a minimum of one year where individuals immerse themselves into the life of a local church in order to intentionally grow in Christ and their vocational calling by working closely with experienced leaders.
The purpose is twofold:
1)To empower the church in equipping people for ministry.
2)To empower individuals to discern their ministry calling as they discover their gifts and grow as Christ followers through hands-on ministry experience.
Individuals who: love Jesus and His church; who want to learn more or are considering a calling to church planting; have prior ministry experience; able to commit a minimum of one year to live on location; and willing to fundraise for a portion of their residency or be bi-vocational.
During the course of the residency, each resident will receive mentorship from experienced pastors and church staff. Residents will have the opportunity to continue to develop leadership and ministry skills while also exploring their passions within ministry. Each resident with a church planting focus will receive financial support through the denomination, local churches, private fundraising, and/or bi-vocational. Housing opportunities will be available based on location.
Each resident who enters the program with a focus on church planting will receive a learning plan tailored for them based on both their own skills/competencies and previous experience/education.
The reason we plant churches is to reach the unreached in a community. We believe trained leaders are key to this missional endeavor. Therefore, we long to empower both churches and leaders to train leaders and reach their community with the gospel.
